About Us
Turning Theory into Working Systems
The Robotics, Optimization, Control & Computation (ROCC) Lab focuses on applied modeling, optimization, and system-level problem solving through hands-on, interdisciplinary projects.

Our Story
The ROCC Lab was created to bridge mathematical theory and real-world systems. We believe that optimization, modeling, and decision-making are most powerful when tested on practical problems with real constraints. Our work brings together operations research, applied mathematics, computation, and robotics to study complex systems such as sensing platforms, traffic flow, and decision-support tools. A central goal of the lab is student mentorship: lab members learn by designing, building, modeling, and analyzing systems end to end. ROCC emphasizes clarity, collaboration, and translating mathematical ideas into actionable solutions.
